Your email address is how you sign in, how you recover the account, and where billing notices go. It is worth keeping current.
Changing it
- Open Profile.
- Enter the new address and your current password.
- We send a six digit code to the new address. It expires in 10 minutes.
- Enter the code to verify.
The password is required so that somebody at an unattended laptop cannot quietly redirect your account to an address they control.
Until you verify
The address changes immediately but is marked unverified until you enter the code, and some parts of the portal stay limited while it is. If the code does not arrive, check spam, then request another.
Use an address that will outlive one person
The account Owner's address receives billing notices, payment failure warnings and plan change notifications. If it belongs to somebody who leaves, the first sign of trouble is usually a change of plan nobody expected.
A shared or role based address that more than one person can reach is the safer choice. Failing that, give a finance colleague the Billing-only role so money messages reach two people.
If someone has left
Change the address before their mailbox is closed, not after. Once it is gone, both password resets and email sign-in codes stop working and recovery becomes a support conversation.
