You can download a copy of the data we hold about you, at any time, without asking us.
Getting it
Open Profile and use the export option. The file downloads immediately.
What is in it
- Your account details: name, email, business name, timezone, language and when you registered
- The workspaces you belong to
- The websites in them
- Your scans and their results
- Your service requests
It comes as a JSON file, which any developer can read directly and most spreadsheet tools can import.
How this differs from a workspace export
| Personal export | Workspace export | |
|---|---|---|
| Who can run it | Anyone, for themselves | Workspace Owners only |
| Covers | The data held about you | Everything in a workspace, including team activity |
| Format | JSON | Spreadsheet, or a ZIP of all workspaces |
| Found under | Profile | Workspace Settings |
If you want something to work with in a spreadsheet, or you are handing an account over, you probably want the workspace export. If you want to know what is held about you personally, this is the one.
When you would use it
- Answering your own data protection questions about what we hold
- Keeping a personal record before you leave a company
- Before closing your account, which is the moment it matters most
It stays available if you close your account
Once a closure is requested the account is restricted, but the exports remain reachable throughout. We are not going to lock you out of your own data at the exact moment you need a copy of it.
