Once your plan allows more than one workspace, you can create them yourself.
Creating one
- Open Manage Workspaces.
- Choose to create a workspace and give it a name.
- Save. It is created immediately, owned by you, and empty.
If you see a message about needing your own subscription, it means the account you are signed in with does not hold a plan of its own. Creating workspaces is something the subscribing account does.
Naming it properly
The name appears everywhere: in the workspace switcher, on the team screens, and in front of everybody you invite. Two rules save a lot of trouble:
- Make names obviously different. "Acme" and "Acme 2" will eventually cause somebody to scan the wrong site. "Acme Marketing" and "Acme Store" will not.
- Name it after what it contains, not when you made it. "New workspace" stops being useful within a week.
Renaming
You can rename a workspace at any time from Manage Workspaces. Nothing inside it is affected: the websites, scans, reports and people all stay exactly as they were. Only the label changes.
After you create one
A new workspace starts empty, with you as its only member. You will want to set its timezone before scheduling anything, and add the people who belong in it. See Workspace settings explained.
