When somebody no longer needs access, remove them. It is a two second job and it is the one people forget.
Removing them
- Open Team.
- Find the person and remove them.
Access ends immediately. Owners and Admins can do this.
What happens to their work
Nothing is lost. The websites they added, the scans they ran and the reports produced all belong to the workspace, not to them. Only their access goes.
It frees up a place
Your plan limits how many people you can have, and removing someone frees a place immediately. If you are at your limit and need to add somebody, this is the first thing to check: people who have left, and invitations that were never accepted.
When someone leaves your organisation
Work through this list on their last day, not a month later:
- Remove them from every workspace they belong to, not just the one you are looking at.
- If they were the only person with a particular role, give it to somebody else first.
- If they are the Owner, contact support before they go. The Owner cannot be changed from inside the portal, and it is far easier to sort out while their account is still active.
Removing yourself
If you want to leave a workspace you do not own, ask an Owner or Admin to remove you. If you own the workspace, see Deleting a workspace, though closing an account is usually a conversation with support rather than a button.
