Every plan has limits, and the portal tries to tell you before one of them stops you doing something.
Seeing where you stand
Open Usage. It shows what you are using against what your plan allows: websites, people, workspaces and storage. Worth a look before you plan a piece of work rather than in the middle of it.
The warnings
You are notified as you approach a limit, and again when you reach it. Both appear in the portal and by email, and both can be controlled in your notification preferences. These are among the ones worth leaving on.
What each limit does when you reach it
- Websites. You cannot add another until you remove one or move up a plan.
- People. You cannot invite anybody else. Removing someone who has left, or cancelling an invitation nobody accepted, frees a place immediately.
- Workspaces. You cannot create another.
- Pages per scan. Enforced when you choose pages, so you will see it while selecting rather than after.
- Scans per website. On Free, ten per site.
- Storage. See below.
Storage
Scans and their reports take up space, and every plan includes an allowance from 100MB on Free to 10GB on Enterprise. If you are running out:
- Download and archive older reports, then delete the scans you no longer need.
- Remove websites you have stopped tracking, after exporting anything worth keeping.
- Take an export before deleting anything. Deleted scans do not come back.
Limits count across everything you own
People and workspaces are counted across every workspace you own, not per workspace. A second workspace does not come with a second team allowance.
If a limit is in your way
Either tidy up or move up. Upgrading takes effect immediately.
