This platform checks your website against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, version 2.1, at level AA. That is the standard most accessibility laws and procurement policies point at, and it is the one auditors are most likely to measure you against.
How it works, briefly
You add a website. We look through it to find your pages. You choose which of those pages to scan, and the scan runs. You get a list of specific issues, where they are and how serious they are, and a report you can share. If you want a certified compliance score out of 100 and a risk rating, you can then request an Expert Manual Review, in which a specialist on our team checks the result by hand.
Why a score needs a person
Automated testing is good at finding certain problems and completely blind to others. A tool can tell you an image has no alternative text. It cannot tell you whether the alternative text that is there actually describes the image. It can tell you a heading exists. It cannot tell you whether the heading makes sense.
So automated results never carry a score on their own. A score, and the risk rating that goes with it, only comes from an Expert Manual Review, in which a specialist checks every requirement by hand. That is what lets you put a scored report in front of a client or a regulator.
What this platform does not do
- It does not change your site. You get a precise list of what is wrong and where, and the changes happen in your own code or content system. If you would rather someone did the work for you, our team offers remediation as a separate service.
- It is not an accessibility overlay. We do not add a widget or a script to your site. Overlays are widely criticised by disabled users and by accessibility professionals, and they do not make a site compliant.
- It does not guarantee legal compliance. No tool and no person can. What it gives you is evidence of what you checked, what you found, and what you fixed.
