An Expert Manual Review is how a scan gets its compliance score. A certified accessibility specialist manually reviews every automated finding and adds the checks automation cannot catch.
Before you request one
Run a scan of the pages you want reviewed, and let it reach Automated Scan Complete. The review is carried out on a scan, so choose its pages with care. See Choosing which pages to scan.
It is often worth fixing the obvious automated findings first. The review then spends its time on the things only a person can find, and your score reflects the site you actually intend to keep.
Where to request it
On the scan's results page, in Expert Services, choose Request Manual Review. This opens the website's Request a Service page.
Estimating the cost
The Expert Manual Review card has Estimate your cost. Choose your CMS or platform and the number of pages to review, which starts at the number of pages in your latest scan. The estimate updates as you change them. Custom built platforms and large page counts may show that a custom quote is needed instead.
The estimate is a guide. The final quote may vary based on the complexity of your site.
What to include
The more we know, the more accurate the quote. Useful things to mention:
- Any deadline, and what it is for: a contract, a tender, a launch.
- Pages that matter most, such as a checkout or an application form.
- Anything behind a login that you need covered.
Want to talk first?
The Request a Service page also has Schedule a Discovery Call, if you would rather discuss your site with us before requesting anything.
Who can request one
Anyone with the request manual review permission. It is in the Owner, Admin and Member roles by default, but not Read-only or Billing-only.
