Scanning the whole site or a single page

When you choose New Scan on a website, you are asked how you would like to scan the site. There are two options.

Crawl Full Website

We discover the pages on the site, then you choose which of them to scan, up to your plan's limit. You can enter paths to exclude before discovery starts.

Choose this for a first scan, for a periodic check, and whenever you want a view of the site as a whole.

Scan Just This Page

Only one specific page is scanned. There is no discovery and no page selection. Enter the page's path, or leave it empty to scan the home page.

Choose this when you have just fixed something on one page and want to confirm it, or when a single page matters on its own, such as a new landing page or a checkout.

Both kinds count as a scan, so on the Free plan both start the three day wait before the next scan of that website.

Scanning from an earlier result

On a scan's results page, Re-scan starts a new scan of the website. To repeat exactly the same set of pages automatically, on a regular timetable, use Schedule. See Scheduling recurring scans.
