The website's page includes a Compliance Score Trend chart: each scored scan, plotted by date on a scale of 0 to 100.
When it appears
A trend needs at least two scores, and scores come from Expert Manual Reviews. Until a website has two, the chart explains that a score is calculated after an Expert Manual Review.
Reading it fairly
- Each point is one reviewed scan, on its own set of pages. A rise or fall between two points is only meaningful if the scans covered comparable pages.
- Scores move in steps. Each criterion is worth roughly two points, so small movements usually mean one or two criteria changed.
- Gaps are normal. Scans without a review do not appear on the chart, so points are often months apart.
Arrows in scan history
Each scored scan in history also shows an arrow up or down against the previous scored scan, which is the same comparison in a single row.
Between reviews
For progress between reviews, use automated results: the number of automated issues on each scan in history, and Comparing two scans. Together they show whether things are heading the right way before you commit to a fresh review.
